The Guess Who Live @ Electric Lady Studios, January 16th, 1975

On January 16th of 1975, The Guess Who performed 10 songs for radio station WQIV-FM in the Greenwich Village district of New York City. The performance was recorded at Electric Lady Studios, a much celebrated recording facility founded by the late Jimi Hendrix.

Originally broadcast in QS Quadrophonic sound, this recording has withstood the test of time in remarkable fashion, sounding as if it were recorded just yesterday, not 35 years ago.

Former Guess Who lead singer/songwriter Burton Cummings wanted to make this performance available in MP3 format for his fans and friends, so I have posted the download here on his behalf.

I hope you like it, and please feel free to post your thoughts about the performance. This recording is hard to find, and the sound quality is extremely good. Please make certain that you SAVE the download to your computer hard drive; do not choose to OPEN it. As with all of Burton's music downloads on this page, it is a very good idea to make copies of your downloads by burning them to disc, or copying them to another external source of backup.

I've been searching for more '74-'75 era of The Guess Who.
Just ordered the Iconoclassic version of "Flavours".
Only wish this version made more music. R.I.P. Dominic .

I worked for WQIV-FM and was there for the concert and helped work the board, as we were broadcasting live on a very cold night in the Village. Great memories of that night and the band, who were so very polite and nice, a fun fond memory!
